Hi Phil I have the greatest respect for your input on the site it would be a great shame if you left your knowledge is what is needed at this time. You have ideas to get the site back on its feet as dsco said he would value your help. Please think hard before you leave being a founder member i am sure you would not like to see the site die, i am sure i am not the only one who feels this way.Whatever you choose to do i wish you well.PS Keep your powder dry.

I'm really looking forward to the new site being activated. It promises to have many improvements in functionality, which has been a constant gripe here.Just to go back to the point about anecdotes and harking back to our childhood experiences or those of our relatives, I think there's a distinction to be made between general memories of that nature and/or era [dolly blue, fiery jack, donkey stoning the step...etc] and similar anecdotes but which are specific to Leeds. The former don't have a place, the latter [imho] certainly do. I love reading about specific things of note that happened to ordinary people in the city. Incidentally, I'm a Facebook refusenik too!

Reports of this site's death are greatly exaggerated. I count fifteen active threads besides this one in the last 48 hours.

Thanks for that Chris I've said my bit so will now say no more except to say that if the site pans out as Duncan describes then the days ahead look promising and I will certainly try to be more active as a forum member in future.Regards.Kango.

Hi Kango my old mate i dont think any thing you posted was out of order i am sure the site will go from strength to strength as long has we all stick together. Lets hope some of our posters who have been quite will start to post again im sure there are a lot on the sidelines who read the posts but dont post for one reason or another.Lets hope they read this and start to input more often i must say every thing posted on the site is of interest to me even if i cant input through lack of knowledge.
