Thanks guys(esses),appreciate your input ! Always interesting to hear people's views.I take your point raveydavey.....and electricaldave & barfly I agree 100%..............I respect the views of everybody recognising this is not an easy issue.I'm well past my sell by date of getting involved(probably fortunately)...it's only as you get older/wiser(?) we take more of an interest in these matters.I freely admit I couldn't handle it,in a packed meeting, listening to the usual nonsense etc etc     Still get upset about the stuff you hear that goes on though these days.............Politics ? A young (wo)mans game these days....sadly.Sujay............loved the 2 pictures you put up...........they are brilliant.........Thank You !Passed by bottom of Eastgate today....not much appeared to be happening where Hoagy's(Hussars) was.........snap 'em now if you can.............soon be gone !

Sujay saidHere's a nice pic, nothing to do with your rant! By the photographer Marc Riboud in 1954, in the George, Great George Street. I wonder what this chap's thinking? I hope I'm not breaching copyright laws here, I'm sure someone will tell me if I am! I downloaded the pic, it allowed me to 'save as', does that make it ok? I've also got a postcard of it which I bought in the Museum shop. You can do anything with anyone's pictures as long as its not used commercially. It is polite however that if you place it on another website that you give the individual credit for it.
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

Maybe they can move the Marc Riboud link to this existing thread if they clean this one up to get it back on topic.http://www.secretleeds.com/forum/Messag ... ID=1944Not sure if Duncan might want to add any user guide to the site description, help, and F&Q section regarding copyright?
