Does anyone know if the Yorkshire Post has an online photo archive? I’ve been told my mother is in a photo waiting for a tram but I cannot find a link.

Thanks Mick. Just had a quick look and I couldn’t find anything, I may have to wait until my contact gets back from Australia in 3 months.

Any idea what part of the City this photo was taken Tyke?I see loads of old Leeds tram photos pop up on a facebook group. If you have any details (year, location e.t.c) I might be able to help.

I don’t know when the photograph was taken but I think the caption may have had something to do with people coming into Leeds late in the day to get cheap fruit and veg from the market then queuing for the tram home. My cousin who found it is in Australia at the moment and I have no contact details for him so I may have to wait a few month until I can ask him. Incidentally I have just bought some postcard reproductions of the Middleton Tram way from (I think) Crich transport museum via ebay.
