Leeds trolleybus scheme delayed further

Apart from the unnecessary infrastructure the most damning fact is that only 1/3 of the occupants would have a seat during rush hour. Who's going to get out of their car bodington hall and pay for that even if it does save them 10 mins

Everyone else can see what a waste of money this Follybus really is.

It's interesting that artist's illustrations of the trolleybuses running never seem to show any other traffic around! For example as in the illustrations brought up through this link (admittedly not recent being dated 7/7/12, but recent illustrations are similar):- http://www.tbus.org.uk/leeds.htm

Came home to a letter and leaflet/guide from Dept. of Transport about putting objections to the Minister. Anyone else received these? It would be excellent if these objections were enough to open a public enquiry. Then a decent case for alternative solutions to the problem of traffic congestion in Leeds can be discussed. Not just the single pointless route.

Thank You Ms.Caroline O'Neill TWA Orders unit !Phill D is right about the old syphilitic gentleman....I find his comments extremely patronising and demeaning of the many thousands of genuine objectors with valid reasons for their objections.Methinks he has some connection direct/indirect with a company involved in the planning/induction sequences behind follybus.There was a fanatic in Germany once who had similar forthright opinions about his own superiority.
