No, I'm afraid you are wrong.Eyebright Wells were used in the treatment of various eye diseases by dabbing water from the well on the afflicted area.There were wells with this name in a lot of areas.In a similar fashion "Canker Wells" were used to treat skin diseases

Your statement is correct, but maybe it didn't grow in that location, who knows. My grandad swore by it he had In growing eyelashes which caused him problems.
