there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Yorkshire Forward was disbanded in 2012, it ran from 1999. 13 years of overpaid misspenders. What really peeves me about it is all the people who were made redundant, lost their jobs and now the overpaid powers that be want to celebrate it with a boozing museum.Almost forgot the horses who were sent to the knackers yard or exibited at the Brewey Wharf. If it last as long as the Brewery Wharf exhibition it will be a miracle.Stuff Tetleys Bitter and Mild etcAnd yes I am bitter.
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

On the plus side, it's created a good few jobs in Wolverhampton (where they brew 'the name' now), and we may even get to ride a supertram to this non-event.And yes I am mild.

I may have mentioned it before somewhere in a SL Tetley related thread but as I don't like beer I've never been a beer drinker. With however a one-time exception. Very many years back I went on a trip round Tetley Brewery and at the end we could have (free!) some Tetley beer to drink. I don't know what type it was but it was the only time I've ever liked beer, presumably because it was still very fresh having not travelled.

A problem with Tetleys in the later years was the beer was to fresh. The time from brewing to drinking was cut due to stock control not wanting excessive stock left in the brewery and pub cellars. I had a friend who worked there man and boy for years and when the fresh beer was going the rounds at the pubs he told me the brewery was been run down.

That's interesting Tyke. When I stated that I went on a visit to the brewery "Very many years back" that would have been in the 1970s, so well long back! Perhaps Tetley's really was better then!
