If you click on the map it will give yoou an enhanced view, and you can move around a bit using the sliders at bottom & side, but you cannot increase the scale any further, as you used to be able to. As someone has pointed out on anothe rthread, its probably in th ehope that more people will buy the maps.

chelenSame here, I mentioned the change to old maps elsewhere.In fairness to them, it's a commercial venture and freeloaders like us expect access to everything free on the net.I haven't spent £ at old-maps.Bit like me moping about lovely pubs where I never went when they were open.Old-maps p'raps ought to consider some £X p/a private access (telling them how to run their business now)

That's a good idea Jogon. I'd be willing to pay an annual fee to have full access. I don't know what I'm gonna do now. I like to look at sites like Leodis and then compare the old and the new with google and old maps. How sad am I? I think I'm trying to re-live the past 'cos let's face it, the future doesn't look too good.
