On the negative side,I was told some years back that it was classed as the most likely target for a terrorist attack in Leeds!

I get the impression that the public gym' memberships are "Coming Soon...". It could be a good choice for those wanting such facilities. From what little I have seen of the building I get the impression that the majority of people who work there do little more than work there and that the "exciting" facilities are only used by a minority. I was told by a colleague that the courtyards are dark due to the height of the buildings around them also.Perhaps opening the gym' and other facilities to the public the building will become a little more interesting and less "average" for those who work there.

I'm sure the gym facilities have been open for ages, I remember using the badminton courts about 4 years ago with a friend...

I work for the NHS and frequent Quarry House as per my job.I can only describe it as a rat run! Very grey open plan offices with little natural light due to the way the offices are laid out, there is a square of open grassed space in the middle - hardly an atrium but does host a few overfed ducks scoffing unwanted corn beef sarnies and quavers. Not as palatial as you may expect, security is mega tight, you have to swipe to get in the main doors, then show your pass to the security man on the desk, has to be on show all the time and must be prepared to be challenged as to where you are going! You get lost very easily and have walked in the East Wing (York Road end) and ended up at the West Wing(!!) - Playhouse end. When given the choice of taking a job there or Blenheim House..I took the latter

another annoying thing about it when I used to use the meeting rooms there was that the lights are movement sensitive so if you were sat quietly listening to or watching something all the lights would suddenly go out as the system assumed it was an empty room and switched them off automatically.cue frantic arm waving etc. until they came back on.
