It looks like your little bridge would have seen quite a bit of foot fall in it's day Jogon. I only thought it was a short cut between Buslingthorpe Lane and Meanwood Road.I knew there were a few houses dotted about near the old pub.But I hadn't realised the footpath ran in two directions, and they're was quite as many dwellings. The area is more or less dead these days.

Phill ta for the old map, and well spotted everyone.Footbridge connects Bus Green to what was Bus Vale (veering left behind Springwell Leather wks) and straight up the hill to what was Stone Gate.Bus Vale>Bus Green is still (just) manageable by foot or mountain bike. Stone Gate (tho' visible on maps) is fenced off.It 'looks as though' still another 3rd path went off right (where these 2 join) in the direction of Sheepscar Works.Springhill Tavern (as was) still standing seen here with paths marked 1969

From your photo, it looks like the electric generating sub station they're today near the bridge was in place back then. The electric place has it's own concrete bridge over the beck.
