Having moved recently and visiting Leeds more often we decided to go the Open Day at some of the Mosques.
After walking down from one we hit a busy road turned left and opposite were a row of very ornate buildings with Hovis signs. Were these shops or charity buildings, or ?
Don't have any street names sorry as new to the area .

Re: Hovis Signs
I think the signs that you refer to are the ones in the attached picture, on Roundhay Road at the bottom of Harehills Road (above "Nail Queen" and the shops to the left of "Junaid" behind the tree). They were once grocers shops, this parade being purpose built as shops. Interestingly the parade further north between Beck Road and Harehills Lane were once houses. There is a picture somewhere of them pre-conversion into shops with the front gardens taking up the forecourt to Roundhay Road.
