Welcome. Despite the nickname I am from Leeds although residing just over the border in Wakefield. Most other regular posters are originally from Leeds even if they have moved further away. Steve Jomes from memory being Lancastrian from Colne/Burnley area is one of the few regulars I can think of who is not Leeds born.

Born in Shipley, lived in Ben Rhydding for 6 years, odd spells of less than a year in Lincoln, Doncaster, and Darlington. Remaining 65 years in Leeds.

Born 1936 in Leeds, then in 1940 to Ilkley, Ben Rhydding, Burley in W, spanning 1940 - 1964, then back to Leeds and still here up to press.
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.
