Anyone have any photos of the old BHS restaurant in the basement, before it was modernised in late 90s/early 2000s? It was such a treat to go there for dinner when my mum took us shopping, I can still remember the brown walls!

Was that the restaurant with the conveyor belt for the used trays? I was always fascinated with that.

We used to always go in there as a treat in the early to mid 90's when mum took us into town. Then on the way for the bus we would nip into Thornton's for a jelly fish or some special toffee.

I had a Saturday job there in 1983/84, and we had to wear folded cardboard hats, held on with hair grips.I remember the conveyor belt. I think it used to break down at least once a session (4 hrs) and all the trays would pile up!
