Just came through the "dark arches" a short time ago.....they're not kidding.Despite "improvements" being made to them a couple of years ago or so,at great cost I add,they are as dark now as they've ever been ! Not very comforting for lone females late at night.

When the Rex Cinema was at Beeston, its lights could be seen from Tingley Cross Roads. When Elland Road had the old lights, I could see them from where I used to live - 5 miles away.

I remember the Rex well....we'd go there or the Crescent(a much more disreputable place now,I believe).OO7 pictures my favourite back then.
