Re: last nights defeat of Leeds United 7-3 by Nottingham. Guy on the radio said this was the highest defeat on record for Leeds United - is that true? What other sporting records are there for Leeds sports teams/people I wonder.

According to this morning's D.Telegraph this is the first time that United have conceded 7 at home. The previous heaviest home defeat was in 2010 when they lost 4-6 to Preston. JD

Good link for all things LUFC. Seems a couple of 7-0 score lines in recent memory.http://www.wafll.com/leeds-records/

Almost definitely the highest Home defeat, we were beaten 8-1 by someone like Stoke, many moons ago. Lost 7-0 at Arsenal in late 70s/early 80s, lost 7-2 at Stoke in the 80s, a few 5-0 defeats on the way too. Some good goals last night though, Forest deserve some credit, it wasn't all due to our team being codswallop. If I had grandkids I'd be relishing the thought of telling them that 'I was there' about last night It hurt but I've endured worse pain because of this football club than this latest defeat.

Hunslet RLFC Tweeted they were the last team to score 7 at Elland Road. Although I suspect other RL teams including Australia and NZ have

Seems it was the highest scoring defeat ever at Elland Road but not the biggest margin of defeat as Arsenal in 1980 & Blackpool in 2011 beat leeds by five clear goals.http://www.statto.com/football/teams/le ... rdsRegards.

It was a strange night for me.Born and bred in Leeds, used to be in the Scratching shed watchingDon Revies lads from 1962 - 67. Have lived in Nottingham for 27 years now and support the Reds as well as Leeds. A friend said you cant have two teams but I like sharing. Just falling asleep when the score came on the radio. Didnt hear who Leeds were playing or their score then it said Leeds 3. What a defeat. Then when I woke up I thought isnt it Forest at Leeds tonight and realised it was them that had scored 7. Couldnt get over the shock. They have been rubbish for months loosing by 1 goal just as 90 mins were up so to find them scoring 7. Wow. Shame it was against Leeds. Cant believe all the good players that have gone not only from Leeds but from Forest. They sell the great goal scorers and then wonder why they get beaten. Can you imagine Revie selling people like Grey, Clarke, or Jones when they were all in full flow. Ridiculous.
On Ilkla Moor ba'tat!!!
