I first noticed about a month ago that the "Welcome to Leeds" sign has disappeared from the A61 adjacent to Lofthouse Golf Club. The poles are still there and the sign did include a "back the bid" slogan although I think this was an attachment rather than the sign.Is the A61 Wakefield alone in lacking a welcome to Leeds sign or have others disappeared too?

Chances are it was an aluminium sign and some thieving scrote has had it away and weighed it in. Last year some 20mph speed limit signs vanished overnight near where I live, apparently for the same reasons. Lots of the new roadsigns are some sort of high impact plastic / polycarbonate for exactly that of reason.
