Whilst looking at my 'Webshots' acocunt for images for the 'Art-Deco Buildings' thread, I found an image looking along Upper Briggate. When I took it, I wondered about the 'top-light windows'. My presumption was that it pointed to some previous useage as a tailors/'cloth/wool trade' building???Does anyone have any ideas?Open the link below;http://news.webshots.com/photo/13337607 ... 9372ytQPUb (& the next image too)

The type of windows used for drawing offices, or further back in time, weavers rooms, were not of that form, they were much more like very large velux windows. There used to be some windows like that on the top of the buildings on North Street.
