As we all know, architect Cuthbert Brodrick was responsible for many of Leeds' finest public buildings. However, the Gothic building on the right is a possibly lesser known work of his - now called Brodrick's Buildings on Cookridge Street, opposite the museum. I worked in the top two floors when it was an advertising agency in the early 90s, when this Leodis photo was taken. PS The beer in the ground floor bar was disgusting! I think it's got a blue plaque (the building, not the beer!)
