Green Bank site

Trying to find out as much as poss about the site known as Green Bank, former site of Doncaster Foundry, nr the canal, Whitehall Road and Globe Road. Does anyone have any interesting stuff?All info greatly appreciated, already done general searches in Google on 'Green Bank' -what else can you tell me?

Well, it was Doncasters Monk Bridge to give it the correct title.Like much of Leeds in days gone by, things were actually made there - fancy that, a company existing by turning out an actual end product, rather than just shifting numbers around a spreadsheet!I could be wrong but weren't they involved in something to do with the aerospace industry towards the end of production?There is a good pic on Leodis that shows the site and surrounding area in it's prime:http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... _169340The skyscraper(s) that were planned for the site never got off the ground as they failed to shift enough "off plan" units to enable the project to get underway and the whole site, including the sales office, was mothballed. Much like several other nearby developments.
