The thread on Meanwood Park Hospital had me thinking. In the days of old ( early seventies), when you could drive past the Mrytle Tavern straight onto the ringroad, I remeber being taken by my mum down past the hospital, to turn opposite the Myrtle down a long track ( or so it seemed at the time), to a large temporary rubbish tip. This i think would have been around 1973 during the first "Winter of discontent".Was it my imagination or does anyone else remember this?.Tim
