Suspect it's a poor atempt at diguising a small mobile phone transmitter?

there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Not sure how long it has been in place, seems to be forever,There are two large street cabinets nearby, and a further two cabinets with false street light nearby.

according to http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/ there's a phone mast on street lane just after the junction of devonshire av- I wonder if this is the mast in question? I think by the look of it it's one of them mast's that they try and blend in to the surroundings? lol and here's the other,Its been 'camouflaged' to look like a wooden telegraph pole lol    http://snipurl.com/evx9i

The Ofcom site is correct, all the cell masts are on Street Ln.I will investigate further, next time will take high powered field glasses and have a close look at the top.

Wouldn't that have to be on private land though, not the public footway? That doesn't look like either an NTL/Virgin or BT cabinet, more likely a mobile Co I think.
