Both myself and some of my colleagues have long since been wondering about the history of the building we now occupy for work. The reason I ask is because we are unable to trace ANY details from ANY where . We have tried Leodis and all other historical searches to no avail. The only information I can provide is the following address:127 upper Wortley Rd.ArmleyLeedsLS12 4JGThe building is situated next door to the old police station. There is a memorial stone inset to the right hand side of th building that reads " this stone was laid by William Jones on the 5th Jan 1924, a a member of the institute " We have done various searches with these details, also with no luck !If somebody can help it would be greatly appreciated.

I belive that the Building in question was in fact part of the CO-OP group and was a Butchers/Green Grocers. The foundation stone reads (This stone was laid by William Jones Director of the society 5th jan 1924) unsure of the exact year but i belive it was around the 1950's. I also belive there was a sweet shop on the corner hope this helps (Jeremy).
