I rarely though go with a pre-planned intention to visit anywhere but if I'm close to an area that I do visit then (time permitting) I will often quickly go there. I like to try to look up and down when walking around. It still surprises me to see the very large numbers of 'heads/faces' or other mouldings/carvings on buildings. Just as an example, for anyone that has not them look close at the old Leeds City Market frontages on George Street, Vicar Lane and Kirkgate. I seem to see 'new' features there every time I look! Far too many to photograph!

This is a photo that I took at the site today (October 2 2014).PS. In an area close by where barges can moor coming off from the canal there were many hundreds of fish from a couple of inches to several inches.

"This first short timelapse film is showing the construction of Leeds Southern Station Entrance (LSSE). It shows the final piles (which create the foundations of the building in the River Aire) being installed by using plant such as a tower crane, jack-up barge and piling rig"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rqz5mUJtOHc

This is a link to the live (nearly!) webcam:- http://www.wymetro.com/lsse/webcam/In view of that webcam there does not seem any point me now posting any further images of the ongoing work, but I hope the ones I have posted were at least of some interest.

Leo,firstly the photos you have uploaded so far have been of interest to me but secondly I deliberately use "so far" in that I for one would like you to continuing posting new photos if it isn't taking you out of your way. The reason I ask is that although the webcam provides a contemporary view this thread provides a detailed time line of the progress. And I do mean detailed because I do like the way that you go to the bother of annotating your uploads with the date and sometimes time of day.CheersTykebhoy Edit to add - your photos also provide views from different places too

Thanks tyke bhoy and Cardiarms for your kind words. I shall continue to post photos of work at the site. One thing about posting photos is that I can add comments such as the mention I made in my post on October 2 at 21:36:11 about the high number of fish in the mooring area. Interestingly however I did not see any fish that day where the river comes out from the Dark Arches despite there often being quite a lot of large fish there (many inches long). I wonder if the work is now causing the fish to move away from there?
