They realised Leodian had got a shot yet, so they hung on for him That made me .There will have been (and probably still will be) good shots to be taken from Millgarth Police Station but I don't have the nerve to go in and ask (very politely) if I could go in and take photos from higher up (so no hoardings in the way for one thing!). I wonder when Millgarth is empty pending its demolition if there may be a chance to take photos inside Millgarth. Well you can only ask, or at least ask where you need to perhaps write to get permission

This photo (which I took on July 3 2014) shows the then state of demolition to the Millgarth end of Eastgate (Hoagy's pub was there but has been demolished). Hoardings and metal fencing make it difficult to take photos but I got this one by sticking my camera lens bit through the fence meshwork and hoping for the best! For a moment I thought the photo included the Trinity Church spire until I realised it is the nice but smaller spire on the Leeds City Markets building (the domes on that are also seen).

I thought this link to the Victoria Gate webcam may be of interest http://hammerson.reachtimelapse.co.uk/victoriagate/I don't know how often the view is updated, as at the time of posting this the date is 'Jul 11, 2014 18:00' so it has not been updated at least so far today (perhaps no work is done on weekends). The time-lapse video is interesting but it seems so far to only cover June. The webcam looks across and down much of Eastgate.

I took this zoomed-in photo today (July 14 2014) showing the 'bombed-looking' remains at the Eastgate/Harewood Street end of what remains of the buildings that fronted that side of Eastgate. Demolition is well on its way and it cannot long before nothing remains of those buildings. I wonder what premises the reflective panels were in?

I took this photo today (July 14 2014) from the Millgarth Police Station area. It was the cellars that particularly caught my eye, so I stuck my camera through the metal security fencing mesh and hoped something reasonable would come out as I could not position the camera as I wanted to. It was not until I looked at the photo when I had saved it that I realised that the man spraying water (to keep the dust down) seems to be doing something else!

That photo showing the cellars was taken from the car park at Millgarth Police Station (that was behind me) and roughly where Union Street was.
