A tree on Albion Street close to the junction with Briggate was clearly struggling and looked as if it could be dying. I wonder if the responsibility for looking after trees in the centre of Leeds is a council or commercial one and has there been any neglect in checking the condition of the trees? I'd imagine that the current dry weather is stressing trees considerably, especially ones planted in a sea of concrete with little access to water and where the roots will be restricted by all manner of subterranean obstructions.
