I was born here and have lived here most of my life (apart from 10 years in West Ardsley ) I'm quite happy being part of Leeds, but I know that I'm in a minority. Morley Town Council's ruling independent group's entire party policy can be summed up as "it's all Leeds's fault"

Nice one, I bet the majority of the towns swallowed up by Leeds over the years say EXACTLY the same thing

I wasn't aware we were operating in a previous age!! Plus Leeds has grown organically since then not just swallowing up smaller surrounding towns. Rothwell, my home town, was "swallowed up" and I'm happy to be part of Leeds. some older folk still recken we would have been better off in Wakefield but never really have any real reason for that. The only drawback I can see is that we seem to have a few too many Rhinos fans instead of Hunslet, Cas, Fev and Wakey ones.
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

Fair do's. Bring under Leeds City Council or Rothwell Urban District Council has not had a ny impact on my Yorkshirenes though, I'm as tight, straight talking and grumpy as ever.
