Milgarth police station area.

Following photos from leodis. They show the corner of Union Street and Milgarth Street. The baths I think were further up union street towards Harewood street. There is a poster on Leodis that says "the site of the old station is now the car park for the new. The new opened in 1975/6."

If you look at this photo that I got from Leodis, you can see the old milgarth with a red arrow pointing to it. I cant see where the union street baths were but they cant have been on the corner of Milgarth and Union Streets, they must have been further up Union Street

Sundowner's right. The baths were directly behind the police station. They were in the square area bounded by Union Street to the north, Millgarth Place to the east (between the baths and the nick,) Back George Street to the south, and Cross Union Street to the west. The police station was roughly half the size of the baths. I'll try and post the 1908 map later today.

Here's the 1908 map of the area. Note how the dog-leg wall of the baths matches LS1's red line on the Google Earth image posted earlier. Just noticed another pub in the centre of the bottom of the map.Which remaining wall has the white tiles on it?
