Dunstan Hill II opencast site taken 9th June 1945 The Top Middleton Little Coal is visible in the high wall near the bottom. The faceshovel has been clearing the parting to the underlaying Bottom Middleton Little Coal which is being loaded in the middle ground. It appears the face shovel has been casting the parting to the dragline to cast on to the completed excavation. Apparently the Brown Metal seams are to be seen near the top of the high wall.
