Well, Leeds Best has now teamed up with LUAFC. Cracking move imo.. One lucky person will win a full barrel of the stuff if they can name their new brand. It must be a Leeds United reference!!Take a lookee herehttp://www.leedsunited.com/page/NewsroomDetail ... 02,00.html

Tried Leeds Best for the first time last night at the West End House, near Kirkstall Lights. After some in-depth research and analysis I concluded that it was 'a good thing'.Will definitely be back for more - about time we had a beer with Leeds in the title.dsco

I noticed some new style beer pumps in the Horse'n'Trumpet last weekend. The 'wicket' hasn't changed,it's the tap.It rises up from the bar in an inverted 'J'. I can't imagine it helping the barstaff, the lass who served me,being 'vertically challenged' was holding the glass at eye level.

I had a pint of Leeds Best in the Palace on Sunday. I'd had a pint of the Springhead Porter which I found disappointing, but the Leeds Best is pretty good - almost as good as my regular Landlord. I've nominated the Palace (in another place) as the best boozer in Leeds. I too think the Whitelocks has gone down the pan a bit. #In the Adelphi is a round teak coffee table, which to be frank has seen better days, a real leftover from the seventies, we used to have an identical one, I've never seen another like it. I'd swear it's the same one.

Has the choice of beer improved though? Last time I went in the H&T we walked straight out again as the choice was Tetleys. Previous 2 or 3 times the choice was Tets and a.n.other of only slightly less dubious quality

In the H&T on Dec 28,Landlord spot on but had to keep asking for a top up.Also went in Whitelocks, very busy but the range of ales was poor.

Anyone who remembers the Duck and Drake from its earliest days will no doubt recall 'Old Mill Bitter'.It was an excellant session beer and I'm pleased to inform everyone it's back on.
