Brilliant again!!The quarry was visible from the road but it was small.To stop kids from falling climbing the face it was broken up and graded.The fascination for me is how years ago you did not go to a builders merchant, you just quarried the stone from the plot and built the house out of that... Me and my wife went looking for this very place in Adel woods last year! That water trough 60yrs ago was known as the Slavering Baby.You can't really see the baby on the picture as it's in shadow. All the wall is now all gone.Thanks for putting this picture up it's brought back many happy memories of Adel woods all those years ago!
