Doesnt seem much sign of life at the Hark to Rover either.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

What on earth do these rotten people get out of it ??

Yet another pub gone that I used to visit. Where on earth am I gonna go for a nostagia trip when I visit Leeds again - Becketts Arms gone, Melbourne gone, Hark to Rover gone, Duttons Arms gone etc. Are the following still open: Shoulder of Mutton on Potternewton Lane, Murtle Tavern, Bay Horse and the True Briton in Meanwood and the Mexboro opposite the ex Dominion picture house?

anyone else noticed a marked increase in the decline of public houses since the introduction of the smoking ban??? seems it's more inviting to get some cans in, get some mates round and have a drink and a smoke in the warmth of your own home!!!! BRING BACK SMOKE ROOMS, SOD THE SMOKING BAN!!!!!!

I was in Tenerife when Spain introduced the smoking ban in bars etc and no smoking notices were up everywhere.A year later because of a massive drop in trade it all changed and if a bar owner put up a notice to say this IS a smoking bar then people can make up their own minds as to whether they want to go in.I don't know if this was legit or just a case of people taking the bull by the horns and risking a fine but the bars that allowed smoking seemed to be doing a much better trade. It makes sense to me to do the same here as judging by the amount of people who stand outside pubs now there are a lot of us sinners around.
