Good to meet people in person for the first time. I think we should do it more often. Let's see if we can't get this stylish person to come along as well:There's a full version of the advert at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mhoulden/8499363285/ but be warned that it has part of an advert for the film Emmanuel next to it so it might not be family friendly.

Was absolutely fantastic to meet you all and glad the epic scrapbook lived up to expectations- got some great advice on where to take it from here to start some decent conservation. I think the next step is to start saving up for a handscanner! As I said last night if anyone wants to come to ours and spend a few hours going through it then you are more than welcome- just drop me an email at angelina_summers@yahoo.co.uk to arrange a day

Shame I had to dash off for the last train, but never mind - interesting evening despite the hasty departure.I mentioned a chap who you would find totally fascinating, however he is usually in demand.Terry Cryer - has a significant number of photos of Leeds from around the 1950's, I was sure some of his work was on Leodis but it seems I may be wrong.I work with his brother Denis, who was unable to make it last night but maybe another time. He has an endless supply of stories about Leeds.Wouldn't it be great if Terry could show up - but I suspect that is very much a dream, still - everyone tells me I'm good at dreaming - so who knows?http://www.terrycryer.com/biography.htm ... 5uLNFXsXak

Thanks to everybody who came down, it was a great evening. I am feeling the effects today though, I think I must have played some part in drinking the bar dry... Posting details of the competition winners will have to wait till tomorrow I fear Incidentally badges and other SL items will be available to purchase very soon, just need to set up the website to handle sales - hopefully next week at some point. Any suggestions for SL merchandise you'd like to see?

Any suggestions for SL merchandise you'd like to see? well if you are using one of those print on demand sites that do all sorts of stuff, some Secret Leeds underwear would be a laugh<LOL>! A mate of mine sells it on his site and having put it on as a joke found it became one of the best selling items!Secret Leeds seems an appropriate slogan<G>!

Would it be very boring to suggest T-shirts? Maybe prize winning logo could be featured as well as SL.

Cheers for the suggestions folks, will look into t-shirts then - was thinking about that already. And underpants obviously...
