Passing by the site on September 30 2014 I noticed that the now in-use car park is called Lady Lane car park, not Edward Street car park. As far as I was aware it was called Edward Street car park before the recent work but that seems to be the name of the larger car park behind the fence. I have now added an edit to note this in my original post.

Thanks for posting those pics of Vicar Lane.
I don't suppose you saw if the bus station clock was / is still there?
I'd really like to buy it as i used to get the bus out of vicar lane every morning as a kid.
Regards

Hi oldleo :).

The clock outside at the bus station has not seemed to be working for a long time now and I suspect it has permanently stopped working. The clock face has also long had what looks like painted on it 2 eyes and a mouth, and possibly a nose though that could be the fingers of the clock stopped at 6 o'clock. The clock can be seen on this photo that I took on September 30 2014.

Regarding oldleo's query about the clock at the West Yorkshire (Red Bus) Station I took these photos on January 15 2015. In view of its condition I guess this non-working clock is not a Potts Clock! The second photo shows a view of the area which is (or is about to be) a car park. I've noticed that the bottom part of the buildings was painted over fairly recently, presumably to improve the look of the car park.

The clock is a synchronous, mains electric. More than likely it will still function perfectly if it was connected to an electric point.

If not it will only require a good clean.

If the motor coil has failed it is possible to re-wind.....simples!
