I know the chap who ran Westgarth was ready to retire as he used to look after our cat and gave us quite a bit of notice that it was closing. It's bedsits now, or at least very tiny flats, and is getting rather run down. Though while I was looking in to Stonegates I did notice Westgarth is on the market again. So if you have a spare £750'000...
