Come to think of it has anyone heard any info on whats happening to the Bridge??. Its been 'closed for refurbishment' for about 18 months - but seems to have ground to a halt for last 6 months or so

Yeah they started tarting it up, but there hasn't been any movement there for about 6 months or so. Just curious.I know the fellas at the West End have decided to stay on now, which is very good news indeed!

As I heard it, the Bridge was to be a 'Brewery tap' style pub for the new Kirkstall Brewery...

Apparently the new owner is going down over the next few weeks to tart the pub up for opening. We could see it back up and running before the summer :-) Excellent!

Could this have been the Station Hotel mentioned in one of Nevil Shute's books? I'm curious to know which establishment Shute had seen or been to in Leeds. As to The Bridge I, too, hope to see it opened some time soon, I've not been that way for what I thought was a short while when I found it closed for refurbishment a few months ago. I found it a good place to pop in on a quick cycle or walk along the canal.
