"Brussels Street - 18 crimes in 4 weeks"iirc all crimes are logged by postcode, and only postal addresses have specific postcodes, therefore no crimes occur in parks, open spaces or any location which cannot have post delivered to it.also from what I saw of the map no crimes can be committed in schools, hospitals or on campuses... if you can see hot spots they may well be displacement from locations in which a crime cannot occur!

I believe they may use the post code of an adjacent road.

It looks that way, for LS4 Cromer Terrace has a wopping 'crimerate' that looks like it's where they've dumped the uni/poly campus stats.Ditto Regent Park Avenue which is either really bad or taking the rap for Woodhouse Moor.

The crime stats were :- All crime and ASB 1403Burglary 67Anti-social behaviour 415Robbery 14Vehicle crime 54Violent crime 161Other crime 692... ... and then for where I live now. Rugeley in Staffordshire (WS15 1DJ). The crime stats here are :-All crime and ASB 99Burglary 8Anti-social behaviour 32Robbery 1Vehicle crime 6Violent crime 15Other crime 37I know where I'm staying.
