There are several old wells recorded in the Alwoodley area, such as that at or very close to the children's playground near the King Lane/The Avenue junction. I hope it is 'well' sealed off!

Hopefully now I'm becoming a little more mobile, I'll be able to resurect the related threads to this too and extract the offerings from my friends Parkie and Phill amongst others, and get Mrs C to follow me on a lengthy excursion around all this
