Well what a fantastic night it was, Lots of unexplainable sounds, shadows, and feelings, we all started off by going round the whole of the mill, with members of Armley Mills, telling us abit about the strange happenings, then we broke up into smaller groups using the equipment, ranging from EMF meters, Quija boards, Table tipping, Dowsing rods, glass movement and anything else we thought to tryout. Whilst we was on the Quija board in the machine room near to the lift, we made contact with 4 spirits, one of them been the little boy who got killed by the carding machine, and another was the wife of Benjamin Gott!. We went down into the oldest part of the mill, where the original building still stands, before the fire, when Benjamin Gott took over, and we had fantastic stuff from there at the top of the stairs, we had 4 children who lived at the farm, that was there before the mill was built, who liked to play with us, throwing a ball and banging on the stairs. and also a man in a cloak who didnt work at the mill but his son did, and died there, and comes back to visit with his son. That part was the Cornmill, underneath the Cornmill there is some wonderful holes there, and some intriging original features. What really fascinated me was that we were allowed to investigat on our own, the Weavers cottages, and the cellar, the original features of the Yorksist (sp) range, set pott (again app with sp) we got some great noises too, whilst we were there 2 of us saw a cat walk past us and as we came out of there we asked about the cat and the staff, said that they took a stray in and called it midge and it died in the weavers cottage!. in the cellar was great, a few blocked up doorways etc. would love to go back and try other parts we didnt have time to search. we didnt go into the managers office unfortunatly, so could not get photo's of paintings, although the ones around the mill are of Henry Price, and Benjamin Gott. Phil, i asked the staff about the coat of arms and the other piece, the lady said all ske knows it was from a very important foundry but couldnt remember the name, but had written it down and was going to ask about for us and i asked her to post on here, she also said if she had not posted on here within a week i was to ring up and ask. i have taken photo's, but could only put a few on flicr, so i put the cellar and the cornmill on. http://www.flickr.com/photos/weeniewoop/5003943733/I would recommend to anyone, to do one of these events. especially as they let us go off on our own and investigate anywhere we wanted!

My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!
