buffaloskinner wrote: Thanks Si, but I dont believe it is Smalewell tunnel, although very similar there are no strengthening abutments at the side and also the ground does not slope that steeply. I have looked at all Phils tunnels and cannot find a match, which leads me to think that with all the corrugated sheets put up that it may be a bridge and not a tunnel ……….. You're probably right. I'm going by memory! Looks similar, though. I'll trawl Phill's stuff later.

See my photo below & see if you agree? Cheers. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sqwasher/2 ... 014721622/     Hi Sqwasher. Yes, your tunnel looks more like the Stay Lucky one. I've had a look at Smalewell/Greenside tunnel pictures, and the shape is different.

Hi guys thanks for that, that is definately it. Must be going blind cos I had already looked the tunnels on Phils site, yet somehow missed it.
Is this the end of the story ...or the beginning of a legend?

The first series is a DVD copy and the rest are all VHS rips. They are very good quality and have had all the ad breaks removed. I noticed on the first series DVD that they left in the 'End Of Part One, Part Two' bits and you have to wait almost a minute for it to continue (and that minute seems like 10 when you're just sat staring and waiting). I'm quite sure they could have edited these out to make them continuous viewing. I can do it why couldn't they.

However your description sounds like they might be from transmission tapes which would have the bumpers in place.

This is released by Network DVD and other which I have of theirs which were ITV programmes all have the bumper breaks, one of the problems is that part 2 etc tend to start whilst the bumper is still showing. To get some of the great programmes on DVD I think its worth it, I love "Watching" with Emma Wray
