Black Sheep! There are plenty of great local breweries around here now - Leeds Brewery in Holbeck, Salamander in Bradford, Saltaire and Old Bear in Keighley to name but a few. At least one of them, can't remember which now, but I had a pint in Coopers the other week, produces a Yorkshire bitter that is suspiciously like Tetley bitter.

Yeah, I think I'll stick to Black Sheep. And Riggwelter. And Landlord, Midnight Bell, Leffe, Urquell, Chimay, Budvar, hey, why stop there, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gin and Tonic, Pimms, Guinness, Laphraoig, Bloody Mary, Hennessy XO.But not all at once, obviously.

This is sacrilidge.Tetleys was fine beer long before the tea wallahs cottoned on.It was said, years ago during a droubt, that there was streem running under the factory/brewery that supplies the wated for the brew. Hence the fine quality of the pinta.

They could have had that in mind from the time they took over very under hand some of the so called take overs. But then have we not lost most of our industry. We depend more and more on imports not a good thing i dont think .I will not go into coal steel ect ect what happend to Great Britain or should that be great britain we dont have the same power we used to have and i dont think we ever will.Thats just my point of view.

An interesting point was made on the news by a CAMRA bloke. He intimated that Carlsberg had purposely run-down the Tetley brand, when real ale sales were actually showing a slight improvement.I know Tetley's sponsor a lot of sport, but when was the last time you saw a Tetley Bitter ad - poster, press or TV? Or have I been on the moon?
