Vulcan St was halfway between North St and Sheepscar St South. This Street View at http://goo.gl/maps/FGBJt is roughly where the junction with Benson St was. Leodis version of the same view at http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?reso ... LJohnson's is in an old iron foundry. It's an interesting place to visit but it's at the end of a long and isolated road so it's best to drive there.

Just read the comment about the telephone numbers. We used to live in Bramhope and when we still had the 0532 numbers, we still had to dial "2" in front of any Leeds numbers despite being an LS19 postcode.. Very weird.
