YEP Have a canvasser & little display stand "YEP £X? PER WEEK" most days recently over at Asda. Seem to be pushing it hard, unsure whether getting folks to sign up to DD.

Whoevers running the website of the YEP is either the greatest conman that ever lived or the worst website designer to have graced a keyboard, possibly both. YEP should sack them and get a decent designer in.All 5 parts of the site - North, South, East, West and Central - display a different date for the latest news, and Central has a completely different style altogether....

Be aware if doing the Weekend Prize Crossword in today's YEP (June 22 2013) that there are no clues to 27, 28 and 29 down and the clue to 26 down is incomplete! I've done all the rest of the clues so I may just put in letters that make a word that fits the letters I have in the missing clues. Somebody at the YEP did not proof read well enough (if any proof reading is done now!).

As you say dogduke there are regular errors in the YEP which, like you, I no longer report. I thought however that it was worth mentioning the crossword so that anyone starting to do it was aware.

If I remember correctly the whole weeks crosswords, which came from an outsource, were read in one go. The BMD's were also read twice as were the datelines, the leading article and any other matter the head reader considered important.

There is a piece in today's YEP about a new Asda store in Middleton finally getting under way, at the end of said piece it makes mention (as it did last week) of a new superstore to be built on Dewsbury Rd.As far as I'm aware the store is to be built on Old lane so did I miss a meeting or is this another example of fine YEP research?kango.

The YEP has a report today about a new electronic card for travel use in West Yorkshire. Both the printed report and the online version currently give this website www.MCard.co.uk to use for more information. On my browser at least that however brings up a website that seems to have nothing to do with the MCard. I realise it may not be the YEP's fault if that has been given wrong information but knowing that the YEP is prone to their own errors I do wonder. This is the link to the online version in the YEP website:- http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... -1-5817035

http://m-card.co.uk/home/Dash it that little Dash is important. Looks like the initial site may have been snapped up by some entrepreneurial sole hoping to make a killing by flogging the domain to Metro.
