strange stone in bramley fall

its a shame it went to waste, i bet theres alot of time and effort that goes into all that detail. would look great in my garden haha

When you think about it, craftsmanship and detail came as standard. When a building had served it's purpose it was flattened. Even the humble back to back housing built for the workers has some fine detail, for example herehttp://goo.gl/maps/s2Nk5All the stone lintels and cills were chamfered, fluted and shaped like thishttp://goo.gl/maps/1lbeqMany a fine building was demolished, and it's only today when we don't see any kind of craftsmanship that our old buildings are appreciated.

I was only thinking about this place yesterday and wondered why it was called, Bramley Fall Woods and not just Bramley Woods? Anyone know?
