So there was a camp at post hill would they have an ack ack gun site in the same area?

It may have gone by the time the camp was built. We didn't start capturing Germans in numbers until 1943.

Not sure about an ack ack gun there, but I found out there used to be two near me I didn't know about.There were two anti aircraft guns hidden on this grass mound behind goal at Yorkshire amateurs ground 'Bracken Edge'http://goo.gl/maps/zkcnNThey were specifically placed to guard the Blackburn Aircraft Company Olympia Works where Tesco stands today. The Yorkshire Amateurs ground is really quite scenic situated on the edge of Gledhow Valley Woods, and it has a good high vantage point.

Just goes to show how little we know about the area we live in.I must say the longer i stay on secret leeds the more i find out and that cant be a bad thing. Every one has a story to tell its good that it is posted on the site. Some things are only known to the person posting and if it was not for sites like this it would be lost forever.
