Hi All, I remember some years ago no,80s or 90s cant remember, a plaque was was placed on the corner of the car park of EJ Arnorlds ,now Costo, on Hunslet Road to commerate the some anniversary of the old Fowlers engine works.I think there was some sort of ceremony, possibly involving some Traction engines and such. Now I pass the location everyday and have noticed that this item has not been there for several years now.Does anyone have any knowledge, info or indeed know what happened to this plaque?

The plaque is still on the site of Fowlers (or it was a few weeks ago).If you go into the Costco carpark it is facing you on the low wall where the mini roundabout is as soon as you've gone through the black metal gates.I'm probably going there at some point this week so I'll have a look if I remember...

Thanks for that, I had a look around t'other day and saw the plaque.Obviously it has been moved from its original position, which was behind the fence pnthe corner of Leathley Road and Hunslet Road.
