buffaloskinner showed me how to use a computer's "snipping tool"v helpful - it is on my windows vista system and takes a screen image of eg my sony digi shots - the result has less pixies and loads quicker / uses less space.Try a general search on your machine. Sorry I'm not tekky but this might help. ps are you the person Ed said had some pics of he+Acker in the Coburg?

Hi Cropper, apologies for the terrible state of the image upload facility on the site - it's the next big thing on my to-do list for SecretLeeds.Phill D is probably your best bet for someone to teach you how to use the workaround he's found in the meantime, and I promise I'll get it sorted as soon as possible - rest assured you're not alone in being driven nuts by it!
Contact me via ask@tyrell.mobi if you have any questions or comments about the site.

Too many different scenarios to go through with issues of uploading photos on Secret Leeds. If they are you own photos, already uploaded on the internet, or what browser you are using e.t.c. Each different scenario needs a different method/browser, image code. Nightmare stuff I take it the photos you want to upload are your own Cropper? If so I'd personally not even bother with the image upload function on Secret Leeds, I gave up with it years ago.Plus it doesn't display the image on the page, you have to click an x, or query box to see the image.I'd use a photo hosting site and paste the image code into the comment box, once posted it displays the image.I'd recommend getting a free flickr account for thathttp://www.flickr.com/But there are many other photo hosting siteshttp://tinyurl.com/bqrb2q8If you get that far, I'll try help you with the rest if you let us know. .............................................I think it might be a good idea to do a Secret Leeds help guide maybe Duncan?Something like this?Once you have uploaded your photos to flickr you need to follow these simple steps for each photo you want to add to your post:
- Click on the 'share this' button.
- Click 'Grab the HTML/BBCode'.
- Select 'Large' in the size drop down menu and select the BBCode check box.
- Cut and paste the code shown into your post in the place where you want your photo to appear.
- Repeat for each photo you want to add to your post.
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!
