I just remembered, they shot a scene from "The Royal" in our front street as we live in old Victorian houses. They covered up all the alarm boxes and took down everyone's Sky dishes. They filmed in the garden of the house next door to us.It was something to do with a band putting their equipment into a van or something. If anyone knows which episode it is and happens to have a copy I would very much appreciate one winging it's way to me. Oh yeah and I think Jimmy Nesbitt was filming some ads at the Owlcotes ASDA not that long ago, they are just starting to appear on TV now.

This was the subject of a bit of correspondence in the 'Guardian.s' 'the Knowledge' (football)section a couple of years ago. if you watch the episode in question you'll see that although everyone talks about 'Elland Road' - and there's even a sign (inside!) that say 'Leeds United F.C.' it wasn't filmed at Elland Road - presumably the production team were too tight to drive up here to film it. Consensus is that it was filmed at Q.P.R.'s Loftus Road ground( conveniently close to the B.B.C.studios!)
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

never really took much notice. however if anyone sees it the floodlights ought to be a dead giveaway. The floodlights at elland road were the tallest in the world(?) at the time of filming. I don't think QpR's went much above the stand at the time
