Well, when that episode was first shown, in 2001, there was nothing wrong with it, was there, and young Tweenie viewers wouldn't even know who Max was impersonating! I remember seeing that when my kids were toddlers/babies.I agree that in the light of recent events it shouldn't have been shown again though.

Plans for demolition of Jimmy Savile’s former Leeds home.Remove every last trace of the serial sex attacker from the site.A spokesman for CXI 92 said: “I can tell you that we are going to demolish the property and completely rebuild it before selling it.http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/n ... -1-5445788

He was part of our past and it seems ridiculous to try and erase it completely. Seems very Stalinesque.

I think the part about 'erasing everything about him' was more to do with the Y.E.P's words, and their slant on the story to make it sound more dramatic. In the eyes of the developer, it's purely good business sense to demolish a run down property they bought dirt cheap in a highly sought after area. It's purely profit driving from their point of view, nothing at all to do with some 'Savile cleansing'If they thought they could make more money on his notoriety, they sure would. Money talks these days, not morals.

Interesting little article in today's Mail on Sunday on why the famous entertainer arrested under Operation Yewtree spin off from Jimmy Savile enquiry isn't going to be named ,even though his name is common knowledge (and I hope it proves untrue as I always liked him),although they say he is 82 when in fact he was 83 last month.
Steve JonesI don't know everything, I just like to give that impression!

It's shameful if 'he' is guilty of being another one involved. It just seems that many around then may have been involved. Jimmy Savile seems to have got the most opprobrium, probably because he seems to be the first to be publicly named and being dead he also cannot defend himself. Any living ones will deserve all they get, which at least should end their 'entertainment' careers.
