Try logging in and out again? It's to do with user rights for that forum - it was set to not allow users to add or edit messages in a sticky/pinned thread.

Good news! There will be quite a lot of glitches like this popping up as I make changes to the site. Logging out/in and clearing your browser should sort out some of them, always worth a try!

Many thanks Duncan for all your work . The thread in question now allows a message to be posted to it.You have my admiration to be able to run a website. Very many years back when the Sinclair Spectrum came out I struggled to work out how to do even very simple BASIC programming, such as inputting and adding numbers together (something like Input x. Input y. Sum x.y., though very probably not that way). Realising that I was useless with even such simple programming I gave the machine to a work colleague who was clever with those things and he used it to do all kinds of amazing things (at least for that time).
