Surviving Leeds city transport buses

The difference between the two Brunswick Green shades could really only be seen when the bus was newly-painted . This information is taken from Volume 4 of " Leeds Transport " by J. Soper .

They have one at the tram museum at Crich, I thinkthough its from a tram (appropriatly enough!!)Should have bought it now!!

LS1. Pic of the watch that Grandad used 'on the buses'. I remember his friend had same watch but don't know if they were issued by bus company or not.

Thanks Carrotol looks in very good condition, I'm sure that has a lot of sentimental value for you. Somethimes think some of todays drivers could dp with one of those!!! ( i know it's not their fault when buses run late really (for fear of offending someone)).

Remembered a story Grandad told me. When he saw anyone running for the bus as he was approaching the bus stop, he used to drive a few feet past the stop to make them think he hadn't seen them. Then he'd watch them run, slow down and run again when he did stop. Well he found it funny. Actually, I do tooMiserable sods (can we say that?) now would send in complaints wouldn't they
