Keep yer pecker up. etc "Dock Green", now that's one I do know, used to be Ashley Road bobby-hole. Got took in once as a kid by my mother when it was a police station, was shown the cells and told I would spend the rest of my life in one if I didn't mend my ways and quickly! Thanks for the words of consolation Jogon, much appreciated. Looks like I've pu t'cat amongst t'pigeons wi' this one! The one that rings a bell to me is the Admiral.I;m going back to the 60's for this one though! And , to cap it all it's a pub I've never been in!Anyway thanks to everybody who contributed to this mystery!

Its area at the junction of Central Street and Duncan Street has recently undergone renovation. On page 7 of this thread is a photo and further down some discussions on name changes. The Raynville has been demolished - I will post pics anon
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Great to see a bit of humour about the site people. The knowledge shared is the thing......very enlightening.

Central market was a watering hole of mine back in the early sixties (middle bottom bar) the barmaids name was Madge...told her one Saturday night it was my birthday, she asked how old? I replied "My first legal drink, eighteen"..."yer cheekie bugger, yuv been drinking in here for the last two and half years"...happy days

For younger readers the Central Market (which the pub was named after) used to be on corner oppo the Corn Exchange [see pic]. The only remaining nod to it is now Central Road.Born '60 (1960 that is!) I don't recall this pub but was a regular in Rawcliffes for school kegs etc.
